                                                                            Vishy and his wife Karthy, started this unique Indian take-out and eat-in restaurant. Karthy, an accomplished chef, taught part-time Indian cooking classes in Dubrulle School of Culinary Arts in Vancouver.  
Vishy used to be an Asst Manager with the Four-Seasons Hotel before leaving in December 2003 to manage this business fulltime.

Simply Curries, at 3343 Kingsway at the junction of Kingsway and Joyce, has one theme – KEEP IT SIMPLE (KIS). The simplicity of the concept sets Simply Curries apart from other Indo-Canadian restaurant as the word spreads around about its great curries – eat-in or take out. Simply Curries opened its doors on February 14, 2003 (Valentine’s Day –simple to remember). The place, decorated in the same colors as the Indian flag is very attractive and catchy to the eyes. However, not only it is attractive but also the food is very tasty and reasonably priced.

As soon as the customer arrives, he is treated with an adventure of curry taste! All curries taste different as each is cooked in its own unique base & spices. There’s Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Prawn Curry, Lamb Curry, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Kebabs. For Vegetarians, there’s Mixed Vegetable Curry, Butter Veggie and Chickpea Curry to choose from. Each meal is accompanied with Naan, Rice and Salad.
Samosas were launched a year later with Four different varieties Veggie, Beef, Chicken and Spinach with Cheese. , These are home-made and color coded for the first time in Vancouver.

Special orders for LOBSTER SAMOSAS, SHRIMP SAMOSAS AND CRAB MEAT SAMOSAS are also done.  There's  Hot Samosa Chips and Pakoras too.

With KIS theme, reasonable price and tasty food, Simply Curries has a sure winning formula. The Company has established a reputation, demand and goodwill for curries and other food products. It has developed a marketing plan and system for the sale and distribution of such products known to the public as “Simply Curries”.  The vision is to have “Simply Curries” in all strategic places where people from all walks of life can experience the “Adventure of authentic Indian Curries”.
